The group Couroquímica began in 1983, when the founder Mário Spaniol began his entrepreneurial career in the city of Franca, in the interior of São Paulo. It is in this year that the company is born Couroquímica, a pioneer enterprise in its field of activity, which has grown over the years, focusing on the development of its products in the needs of its customers and the leather market.

Through its commitment to the quality of life and well-being of its employees, the Couroquimica tannery received the international “Gold” seal from the organization Leather Working Group (LWG), a top reference in the segment of good environmental practices.

In response to its constant efforts in favor of the environment, the LWG seal recognized the main sustainable characteristics of Couroquimica, taking into account the traceability of its raw material, the environmental management system, waste management, water and energy consumption , treatment of effluents promoting the reuse of water, concern with restricted substances, thus respecting the national and international laws in force.
